Lionsgate has officially announced the release of “Ballerina,” an exhilarating new film set to expand the John Wick universe. Scheduled for a theatrical release on June 6, 2025, “Ballerina” introduces audiences to Eve Macarro, portrayed by the talented Ana de Armas, a ballerina-turned-assassin on a quest for vengeance.
Set against the backdrop of “John Wick: Chapter 3 — Parabellum,” the film follows Eve as she uncovers dark secrets from her family’s past after witnessing her father’s murder. Trained by the enigmatic Ruska Roma, a criminal organization masquerading as a ballet school, Eve navigates a perilous world filled with ruthless assassins while grappling with her own thirst for justice.
Under the direction of action filmmaker Len Wiseman, “Ballerina” promises to deliver the franchise’s hallmark high-octane action sequences, intricate choreography, and unique set pieces.
